PRESENTS:-

“Classical Brass”

Musical Director:-

Simon J Applegate LDBBA

St James Concert & Assembly Hall

27 May 2007

Another year in the history of Guernsey Concert Brass, and bookings seem to be coming in thicker and faster than ever before. A testament I suppose to our improvement and popularity.

We are pleased that not only do we organise our own concerts, but are asked by the Island to provide support to events organised on behalf of such worthy organisations as the Royal British Legion, the Royal Air Forces Association and several local and national charities along with Liberation Day and the Town Carnival.

We have recently set up a new and impressive web-site which has attracted many visits from people worldwide, due in no small part to the efforts of our assistant solo cornet player and web-master, Marcus Shaw. The site is well worth a visit if you have the facility of computer access with Internet ability. The web address is: www.guernseyconcertbrass.co.uk

Should you be able to view our site, and have any suggestions or ideas of improving the content, then please leave a message through the link, which is easily accessible.

We welcome back as a guest this evening, a young man who has done the Guernsey Concert Brass and Guernsey Concert Youth Brass system proud, by becoming one of the finest euphonium players in his chosen career, as a serving member of the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines…. welcome back for the concert this evening, Nick West.
